I wrote this song a few months after my mom died, and a few months before my father died. It felt as though it came through me, for me, from my mother. I performed it at my father’s memorial, recently on June 11th. It will be a bonus track on the Japan release of the new record.
“You and I” reminded me that my parents and I are always united, for as I wrote in the song… “we’re like rivers to the sea, what was you is now in me”.
